Steelheads Announce New In-Stand Host and Broadcast Team

Mississauga, ON - On the eve of their home opener, the Mississauga Steelheads are pleased to announce their in-game and broadcast experience will have a fresh new feel this season with the additions of In-Stand Host, Holly Nimens, and Rogers TV Broadcast team, Aly Munro, Kyle Liberto and Matt Cullen.

Holly Nimens joins the Steelheads as the team's In-Arena Host. She's currently enrolled at the College of Sports Media finishing up a two year program in Sports Broadcasting and Journalism. Holly has spent her past two years dancing for the Toronto Raptors Dance Pak. She was a brand ambassador for the Raptors and represented Toronto at several community events. Holly found her love and passion for the Sports Broadcasting industry during her undergraduate years at the University of Florida. She received a Bachelor of Science in sports management and a minor in dance. She was part of the University of Florida Dazzlers for three years. Holly had the opportunity to dance for the Florida Gator Football, Basketball and Volleyball teams, represent Florida at SEC tournaments, the 2012 NCAA Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight and many community events. She's a member of the Kappa Delta sorority. Holly loves to travel, dance and watch Hockey Night in Canada with her family.

Aly Munro has covered the Ontario Hockey League since 2011. She started as the in-game host during the Steelhead's inaugural season and then began contributing content to the team's website. For the past three OHL seasons, Aly has served as Rogers TV Peel's 'OHL Insider.' This season, Munro will serve as the Host and Reporter for all Steelheads Game Broadcasts on Rogers TV Sports.

Aly has experience behind the lens as a producer but also as a writer working as a Broadcast Associate at Rogers Sportsnet. She has attended multiple Memorial Cups, including covering London's 2014 tournament for NHL Network Sirius XM. Aly is currently working for the MLB's Toronto Blue Jays as an Events Host as well as producing and hosting a show she designed and pitched called "#Trending In Sports" on RogersTV Peel.

Munro hopes to one day be a prime time sports reporter, and eventually anchor. In the meantime, she will enjoy the creative freedom of producing an entertaining program on RogersTV Sports.

Born and raised in Etobicoke, Ontario, Kyle Liberto has been working with Rogers Television for three years covering everything from Local High School Sports to The GTHL. He graduated from Broadcasting Journalism at Sheridan College in 2011 and since his departure, has been with several outlets & organizations including the Hamilton Tiger Cats, the NHL Network, and CBC Sports. In the off-season, Kyle is the Head Coach of the Royal York Cardinals Midget "A" Baseball Club. Kyle has promised to "bring a new, dynamic feel to the broadcast booth & is privileged to be the new voice of The Mississauga Steelheads."

Matt Cullen was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. Matt's first love has always been hockey. After high school, he attended St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia where he took his passion for the sport to the broadcast booth calling games for the St FX Varsity men and women's teams. After completing an honours degree in European History and French in 2012, Matt moved to France where he continued to follow his love for sports working at the 2013 French Open, as well as the 100th Edition of the Tour de France. Matt returned to Canada in the fall of 2014 to pursue a career in Sports Broadcasting at the College of Sports Media in Toronto. Over the past year, he was the voice of the Oakville Blades (Ontario Junior Hockey League) and the Oakville Rock (Major Series Lacrosse).

Your first chance to see the new team in action is this Friday for the home opener as the Steelheads take on the Ottawa 67s at the Hershey Centre for a 7:30 pm start.

The Steelheads would like to welcome Holly, Aly, Kyle, and Matt to the organization!
