Erie Otters News Release

Windsor, Ontario - The Erie Otters announced today that Nick Betz, Jake Marchment, and Darren Raddysh will serve as alternate captains for the 2015-16 season.

Betz is entering his overage season and fifth with the Erie Otters since being drafted 109th overall at the 2011 OHL Priority Selection. He sits tenth on the Otters all time franchise record book for games played with 231.

Marchment was acquired by the Otters at the trade deadline in January 2015 from the Belleville Bulls. During the Otters Western Conference championship run, he tallied eight goals and 14 points in 19 playoff games.

Raddysh begins his fourth season with the Otters after being selected 84th overall at the 2012 OHL Priority Selection. His 17 career goals find him ninth in defenseman goal scoring amongst defenders in Erie Otters history.

The Otters open the OHL season Thursday night at 7:05 p.m. against the Windsor Spitfires at the Windsor Family Credit Union Center. The game will broadcast on local Erie radio on 1330 AM The Fan and can be watched online via the OHL Livestream pay-per-view service.
