Windsor Spitfires News Release

(Windsor, ON) - The Spitfires are proud to announce a charitable commitment from longtime partner Provincial Chrysler as part of the club's new MVP Program, through which Big Brothers Big Sisters of Windsor Essex will receive a donation of $1,000.

General Manager Udo Kiewitz says he's proud to engage with the Spitfires in a meaningful way that benefits an organization the team at Provincial Chrysler believes in greatly.

"We wanted to have the opportunity to give back to the community," Kiewitz said. "Not every child in our community is fortunate enough to have a two-parent home. We recognize the need for support that helps them do what they do best. They're very good at helping young people and keeping them on track. We're proud to contribute to the efforts of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Windsor Essex."

It's greatly appreciated support, says Big Brothers Big Sisters of Windsor Essex Director John Sutton.

"It's great community partners like Provincial Chrysler that allow us to give opportunities to kids that might not otherwise have them," Sutton said. "Lots of kids in our communities have never been to a Spitfires game. So, in addition to the donation, it's nice to have the chance to distribute 100 tickets to tonight's game. It's something that the kids will remember for a lifetime."

Prior to the third period of our Season Opener versus the Erie Otters tonight, Kiewitz and Spitfires Director of Corporate Partnerships & Premium Seating, Andrew Rowberry, will present Sutton with a cheque on behalf of Provincial Chrysler and the Windsor Spitfires Foundation.

Provincial Chrysler will also be recognized in a feature video presented on the WFCU Centre's Jumbotron during an intermission break.

ABOUT THE MVP PROGRAM

The Windsor Spitfires have created the MVP (Most Valuable Playmaker) Program to help businesses build a strong connection in our communities.
