Steelheads Acquire Jack Flinn from Owen Sound

Mississauga, ON - The Mississauga Steelheads announced today that they have acquired goaltender, Jack Flinn from the Owen Sound Attack in exchange for forward Bryson Cianfrone and a 5th round pick in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection.

Jack Flinn was drafted by the Moncton Wildcats in the 5th round (82nd overall) of the 2011 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Entry Draft. The Halifax, Nova Scotia native joined the Attack in 2013. Last season with in Owen Sound, Flinn posted a 2.99 goals against average and 0.908 save percentage with 18 wins and 16 losses in the regular season.

The Mississsauga Steelheads acquired Cianfrone from the North Bay Battalion prior to the start of the 2013 season, in exchange for a 3rd round pick. Cianfrone, a native of Stoney Creek, Ontario was drafted in the 3rd round, 49th overall by the Battallion at the 2011 OHL Priority Selection after playing his minor hockey with the Minor Midget AAA Toronto Marlboros. In two seasons with the Steelheads, Cianfrone recorded 96 points (30 goals, 66 assists) in 128 games.
