67's Seeking First Win at Home

September 25, 2015 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Ottawa 67's News Release

The Ottawa 67's will return home looking for the team's first win of the season after dropping both games of a two-match road trip, the latest setback on Friday night to the Mississauga Steelheads 7-0 at the Hershey Centre.

The 67's will have an opportunity to get on a winning track in the home debut of the 2015-16 Ontario Hockey League season on Sunday afternoon at TD Place against the Barrie Colts.

In Mississauga, the Steelheads chased 67's goalie Leo Lazarev from the net, scoring four times in the opening 35 minutes. Liam Herbst arrived in goal after Lazarev, the second-year Russian import, faced 21 shots.

The Steelheads didn't let up against Herbst either, scoring twice on seven shots plus adding an empty-netter in the late stages.

Mississauga goalie Jack Flinn made 19 saves to record the shutout.

Tickets for Sunday's home-opener against the Colts, which begins at 3 p.m., are available at the 67's website, or by calling 613-232-6767, ext. 1.

Minor hockey players in the Ottawa-Gatineau region can get free tickets to any 67's regular-season home game through the 67's Prospects program. Visit the 67s Prospects website for details, or call 613-232-6767, ext. 1.
