-SPIKES CONTINUE HOMESTAND WITH DOUBLEDAYS: The State College Spikes welcome the Auburn Doubledays to Medlar Field at Lubrano Park for the final time in 2011 this weekend as part of a two-game series, starting with tonight's contest. The Spikes will look for back-to-back wins for the first time this season tonight. The Spikes are 26-27 all-time against the Doubledays, with a 14-15 mark all-time at home against the Nationals affiliate.

-LAST GAME: Alex Fuselier scored the game-winning run as a pinch-runner on an error in the 12th inning to end the second-longest game in Medlar Field at Lubrano Park history and give the Spikes a 4-3 win over the Mahoning Valley Scrappers on Friday night. The win gave the Spikes their first series victory of the year as they took two out of three games from the Scrappers at home. The game trailed only a 7-6, 14-inning loss to Hudson Valley on July 25 for the longest game at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Stetson Allie struck out five batters in four innings in his third professional start for State College.

-KINGHAM LOOKS FOR 1ST PRO WIN: Right-hander Nick Kingham makes the start for State College tonight. Kingham has gone five innings in each of his last two starts, including a five-strikeout outing against Auburn on June 22. The Las Vegas, NV native took the loss in that game after allowing the Doubledays' first run. Kingham threw five shutout frames in his last outing against Mahoning Valley in a no-decision on Monday.

-DEMMIN FACES SPIKES AGAIN: Auburn left-hander Ryan Demmin makes his second start of the year against State College and his fourth overall tonight. Demmin got the win against Kingham with five scoreless innings on June 22. The southpaw earned his league-leading third win of the year on Monday against Williamsport, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out six over six innings of work.
