
Cutters Muster Just Two Hits in Loss

GAME HIGHLIGHTS: The Williamsport Crosscutters fell to 8-8 on the season with a 3-1 loss in Jamestown on Saturday night.
The Jammers used two hits and a Williamsport error to go up 1-0 in the bottom of the second. They added another run in the bottom of the third on a solo home run by Marquise Cooper.
The Cutters answered in the top of the fourth, as Aaron Altherr hit a solo home run to left to make it 2-1.
Jamestown scored for the third consecutive inning, using two hits and a wild pitch to make it 3-1 in the bottom of the fourth.
Right-handed pitcher Perci Garner made his 2011 debut, taking over for starter Leonel Bastidas in the bottom of the sixth inning. He was removed in the seventh with an injury, and finished with 1.2 scoreless innings pitched. Colton Murray threw 1.1 innings of scoreless relief to keep the Cutters within two.
The two teams will play in Jamestown on Sunday at 1:05pm and then in Williamsport for two games from July 4-5. Every Cutters game can be heard on ESPN Radio 104.1 FM, ESPN 1050 AM, or online at crosscutters.com.
