-DIVISION CHAMP SPIKES FACE WILD CARD-CONTENDING JAMMERS: The State College Spikes have clinched the Pinckney Division title and home-field advantage throughout the New York-Penn League playoffs, and now can play a part in deciding their NYPL Semifinal Series opponent as they face the Jamestown Jammers in the second game of a three-game series at Russell Diethrick Park. The Jammers hold a one-game lead on Lowell for the NYPL Wild Card berth, the winner of which will face the Spikes in the Semifinal Series. State College holds a 8-1 edge in the season series against Jamestown. Jamestown leads the all-time series, 40-38.

-LAST GAME: The Spikes came back from an early deficit and withstood a late Jamestown Jammers rally that sent the game to extra innings before taking advantage of Jamestown wildness to beat the Jammers in 11 innings, 6-4, in a Labor Day matchup on Monday evening at Russell Dietrick Park. State College scored both 11th inning runs without the benefit of a hit, as Jamestown reliever Axel Diaz walked four batters, hit one and threw a wild pitch to help the Spikes score twice with two outs. Pinch-runner Luis Perez scored the go-ahead run on the wild pitch, while Jimmy Bosco, who delivered three hits on the night, knocked in his second run with a bases-loaded walk. Mitch Harris earned the win in relief, and Jacob Booden got the save.

-PIERCE HEADS TO HILL FOR SPIKES TONIGHT: Right-hander Andrew Pierce gets the start today for the Spikes in the fourth game of the regular season-ending five-game road trip. Pierce, the eighth-round draft choice of the Cardinals in 2013 out of Southern Miss, has gone between the rotation and the bullpen this year, shining in both roles. Pierce makes his 12th appearance and seventh start tonight. Last time out, the Stringer, MS native started and allowed one unearned run on one hit while striking out five to beat Jamestown on Thursday.

-JAMMERS SEND DICKSON TO MOUND: Left-hander Cody Dickson makes his 14th start of the year for Jamestown tonight. Dickson last faced the Spikes on Thursday to continue his June 25 start in the completion of the suspended game, going four more innings for five total frames in the game. The Arlington, TX native did not factor into the decision after giving up three runs, two of them earned. Dickson is 1-0 with a 3.52 ERA at home this year. The southpaw was the Pirates' fourth-round draft choice in 2013 out of Sam Houston State.

-SPIKES NAME YEAR-END AWARD WINNERS: Prior to Friday's regular season home finale, the Spikes announced their season-ending award winners. First baseman David Washington won the Spikes Most Valuable Player Award with his club record ten homers and league-leading 49 RBI, while right-hander Nick Petree, the team leader with a 1.62 ERA, earned the Spikes Pitcher of the Year Award. Right-handed pitcher Mitch Harris was named the Spikes Leadership Award winner, presented by the Spikes Booster Club.

-SPIKE MARKS: Steven Ramos leads the NYPL in batting by 20 points over Jamestown's Adam Frazier (.352 to .332) with two games remaining...The Spikes lead the league in batting average (.276), runs scored (347) and least runs allowed (251)...Ramos is the NYPL's hit leader with 86 on the season...2013 Pirates first-round draft choices Reese McGuire and Austin Meadows each produced multiple hits in yesterday's game
