-SPIKES COMPLETE ROAD TRIP AGAINST RENEGADES: Tonight, the State College Spikes continue their 10th Season as they take on the Hudson Valley Renegades in the finale of a three-game series at Dutchess Stadium. The Spikes come off back-to-back wins over Hudson Valley that helped erase a trio of one-run losses, the last in 14 innings, to Aberdeen in the first half of the six-game road swing. The series against the Renegades is a rematch of last year's NYPL Semifinal Series, which the Spikes won in three games on their way to the league championship. State College is 13-18 all-time against Hudson Valley, with a 7-8 record at Dutchess Stadium that includes a loss in Game 1 of the 2014 Semifinal Series.

-LAST GAME: The Spikes scored five runs and produced 11 hits over the first five innings, including a two-run homer from Jesse Jenner, then made the lead hold up to defeat the Hudson Valley Renegades, 6-2, on Saturday night at Dutchess Stadium. Jenner's blast, his second of the season, started the scoring in the second as he took a 1-1 pitch from Hudson Valley starter Benton Moss over the left-field wall. The Spikes then produced four hits in the third inning alone, with RBI singles from Casey Grayson and Cole Lankford increasing the lead to 4-0. Leobaldo Pina then made it 5-0 in the fifth with a single that brought in Thomas Spitz. The Spikes hit a slow patch after that, with no baserunners until the ninth. However, State College reawakened in the ninth as Mike Pritchard knocked in Champ Rowland with an insurance run to close the scoring. Jhohan Acevedo contributed three hits, including a double.

-McKINNEY MAKES START FOR SPIKES: Left-hander Ian McKinney gets the ball for State College this evening. McKinney has earned wins in each of his last three decisions, and tossed seven shutout innings in a no-decision at Aberdeen to start the road trip. The southpaw from Orlando, FL has put together four quality starts (six innings or more with three earned runs or less) in his six outings as well. Today marks McKinney's third straight road appearance after beginning the season with four starts at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.

-RENEGADES' VARGA TO HEAD TO HILL: Right-hander Cameron Varga makes his sixth start of the year for Hudson Valley this evening. Varga went six innings and yielded four runs on four hits and a walk to Connecticut in his last outing, taking the loss on Monday. The Bradenton, FL native was the Rays' second-round draft choice in 2014 out of out of Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy in Cincinnati, OH, and split time last season with the Gulf Coast League Rays and Rookie-level Princeton, totaling a 3-1 record with a 3.78 ERA over 10 appearances, six of them starts.

-SPIKES WELCOME BACK TWO FAMILIAR FACES: In the wake of Thursday's 14-inning marathon, the Spikes added two players from Single-A Peoria with previous State College experience yesterday in right-handed pitcher Kevin Alexander and outfielder Jhohan Acevedo. Alexander made a single appearance for the Spikes in the last week of the 2014 regular season. Acevedo returns to the Spikes after beginning the 2015 season with State College. Both players were part of last year's NYPL champs.

-GRAYSON DELIVERING BIG NUMBERS: Casey Grayson is still at or near the top of several leaderboards in the New York-Penn League. The University of Houston product leads the NYPL in batting average with a .348 mark, and his .435 on-base percentage is second in the league. Grayson also occupies spots in the NYPL's top five in hits (2nd, 39) and runs batted in (T-4th, 22).

-SPIKE MARKS: Mike Pritchard is tied for third in the NYPL in runs scored with 22...Jorge Rodriguez has held batters to a .188 average, second-best among NYPL starters, and has thrown 11 straight scoreless innings...Juan Perez has now thrown 12 straight scoreless innings while striking out 17 batters over that time
