-SPIKES AND MUCKDOGS FINISH SET TONIGHT: The State College Spikes meet the Batavia Muckdogs tonight for the final game of a three-game series at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park as part of a string of six straight meetings that started on Wednesday. The Spikes will look for their second series victory at home this year, after taking two of three games from Mahoning Valley earlier in the season. Batavia leads the all-time series, 32-23.

-LAST GAME: Kirk Singer tied a franchise record with two triples, including the game-winner in the eighth inning, and Carlos Mesa mashed his first professional homer as the Spikes came from behind to beat the Batavia Muckdogs, 8-7, on Sunday night at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Singer tied the record held by teammate Taylor Lewis and 2009 Spike Elevys Gonzalezwith his pair of triples, but it was Mesa who got the Spikes off to a flying start with his three-run homer in the first. Singer then brought in two runs in the eighth to bring the Spikes back from a 7-6 deficit to win.

-HAFNER STARTS FOR SPIKES: Right-hander Ryan Hafner gets the ball tonight for the State College to begin the game. Hafner is making his fifth start of the season, and has gone at least four innings three times this year. Right-hander Stetson Allie is scheduled to follow Hafner during tonight's game. Allie has ten strikeouts over his last eight innings.

-MANESS GETS MUCKODGS MOUND ASSIGNMENT: Batavia will send right-hander Seth Maness to the hill tonight. Maness held the Spikes to one unearned run over seven innings of work in his last appearance on Wednesday in Batavia. The East Carolina product was chosen in the 11th round this year by the Cardinals.

-DODSON REJOINS SPIKES TONIGHT: LHP Zack Dodson returned to the Spikes today after being transferred from Single-A West Virginia. Dodson pitched for the Spikes all of last year.
