The Suns jumped out to a 15-0 lead to start the game and extended their advantage to as many as 21 points (24-3) with 3:14 remaining in the first quarter, but the Stars chipped away and entered halftime trailing by 11 (50-39). Salt Lake City outscored Northern Arizona 14-5 in the opening minutes of the third quarter to cut the lead to two (55-53), and the Stars took their first lead of the contest (68-67) with 1:02 remaining in the third frame courtesy of a Jairus Lyles three-pointer. The Stars used a 9-0 run in the final frame to push their lead to as many as 15 points (94-79) and ultimately won by 11, outscoring the Suns 61-39 in the second half to secure the team's third double-digit victory of the season.
