Stampede Complete Comeback, Win 125-115

Boise, IDAHO (March 16, 2015) - The Idaho Stampede erased a 17-point deficit in the second half to defeat the Texas Legends 125-115 on Monday night. The Stampede outscored the Legends 45-27 in the final period to seal the victory.

Idaho grabbed its first lead with 6:32 left in the fourth quarter when Shane Gibson hit a 3-pointer at the top of the key. Texas forward Eric Griffin split a pair of free-throws to tie things up at 97 with 5:08 remaining in the game. The Stampede then used a 13-1 run over the next three minutes to take control of the game. Gibson and Jared Cunningham together made eight of nine free-throw attempts in the final minute to secure the win for Idaho.

Jerrelle Benimon led Idaho with 27 points, 17 rebounds and four blocks in his first game back after returning from his 10-day contract with the Utah Jazz. Gibson added 25 points in just 17 minutes off the bench, including 14 in the fourth quarter. The 45 points scored in the final quarter marks the highest total in a single quarter for the Stampede this season.

Delonte West led Texas with 24 points off the bench. Jarrid Famous posted a double-double of 18 points and 23 rebounds. Eric Griffin pitched in with 21 points, eight rebounds and five blocks in the losing effort.

The two teams face off at CenturyLink Arena again on Wednesday, March 18.
