Westchester Knicks Acquire Nick Covington

WHITE PLAINS, March 17, 2015 - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, announced today they have acquired guard Nick Covington from the available player pool.

Covington, 6-2, 200 pounds, last played for the Idaho Stampede, the D-League affiliate of the Utah Jazz. In five games for the Stampede this season, Covington averaged 9.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.6 assists over 25.2 minutes of play.

The Westchester Knicks are back in action at the Westchester County Center next on Tuesday, March 24 to face the Canton Charge, the Cleveland Cavaliers' affiliate, at 7:00 p.m. The game will be televised on MSG 2. The first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive a discount card for select downtown White Plains retailers and restaurants, courtesy of the White Plains Business Improvement District.
