Indiana Mad Ants News Release

FORT WAYNE, IN (March 17, 2015) - The Mad Ants, sponsored by Lutheran Health Network, held off a close game at home, Tuesday, March 17th over the Iowa Energy 101-88 at the Allen Co. War Memorial Coliseum.

The first half of the game was a tightly contested match-up that swayed to the Mad Ants overall favor. By the end of the first half, the game was locked in a 52-52 tie with Jordan Crawford, in just his second game with Fort Wayne, finding his stride early on the offensive side of the ball, and posting 18 first half points. CJ Fair, Trey McKinney-Jones and Ramon Harris each found themselves with 6 first half points.

By the start of the second half, the Mad Ants started to pull away from the tight locked game and put together a consistent ownership to the lead. Iowa would strike back and find the lead in their hands early in the fourth quarter, but were unable to hold that advantage as they would ultimately fall 101-88. Crawford would go on to lead the Mad Ants with 29 points and 8 assists. Fair would follow with 17 of his own and Toronto Raptor assignee, Lucas Nogueira, would grab 13 rebounds to go with his 8 points.

For the Energy, Willie Reed led with 20 points and 22 rebounds. Jarnell Stokes, in his return to Iowa, followed with 16 points and 13 rebounds.

The Mad Ants go on an extended road trip, stopping in Iowa to play the Energy Friday, March 20th before heading out for a week long west coast stint. Just ONE regular season home game remains; fans can purchase Mad Ants tickets anytime, which start at just $6, at the Memorial Coliseum Box Office, by visiting www.ticketmaster.com, or charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000.
