Texas Legends News Release

BOISE, ID, (Mar. 16, 2015) - The Texas Legends gave up a 17-point lead in the second half to fall to the Idaho Stampede 115-125 on the road.

Eric Griffin posted the first points of the game with back-to-back threes as the Legends took control immediately. Griffin had eight points in the first on the way to a 10-point advantage that escalated before the half. As the Legends came out of the locker room they extended the lead to the largest of the night at 17, but Idaho found their way to the free throw line and began to chip away at the gap. As the fourth quarter approached, Idaho cut the deficit to eight. With 6:32 to play, Shane Gibson knocked down a long ball to give the Stampede their first lead of the night. Ricky Ledo and Jared Cunningham matched layups as the Legends fought to regain control. Griffin hit one-of-two free three throws to tie it up, but Nick Wiggins tossed in an easy layup that would begin Idaho's 13-1 run to seal the victory. Cunningham and Gibson posted 14 points each as the Stampede took over in a 45-27 fourth quarter. The Legends outrebounded Idaho 56-43 but the Stampede shot 51.8% on the night and saw 46 free throw attempts to the Legends' 21.
