Stafford and MacArthur recalled by Buffalo

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Americans General Manager Jody Gage announced today that right wing Drew Stafford and left wing Clarke MacArthur have been recalled by the Buffalo Sabres.

Stafford has 44 points (22+22) in 34 games with the Amerks this season. He has also played in 19 games with the Sabres and recorded two goals and three assists. He was the Buffalo Sabres' first-round selection (13th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

MacArthur leads Rochester with 59 points (19+40) in 45 games. He is fifth in the AHL in assists and tied for fifth in points. He has played in two games with the Sabres this season. MacArthur was the Buffalo Sabres' third-round selection (74th overall) in the 2003 National Hockey League Entry Draft.

Tonight, the Amerks will take on the Manchester Monarchs at The Blue Cross Arena in their second and final meeting of the season. The game is the first ever visit to Rochester by the Monarchs. The 7:35 p.m. contest will be broadcast live on Hot Talk 1280 WHTK, whtk.com and B2 Networks. The game will also be televised live on Time Warner SportsNet Channel 26.
