Niagara IceDogs News Release

Dear IceDogs Supporters,

I just wanted to take a moment to make you aware of the latest chance to make your voice heard in the St. Catharines Standard on the proposed New Spectator Facility. The Standard is calling for readers to "Have your say" on the proposed facility and is looking for comments/letters that they will post on-line, with a selection being included in print in Saturday's Standard.

The full article from the Standard is below, but they need the comments by tomorrow (Friday) at 12pm, so let's make sure the supporters have our voices heard!

From the St. Catharines Standard website: http://www.stcatharinesstandard.ca/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=3388896

Have your say: Proposed spectator facility

On Monday night, St. Catharines city council will decide whether or not to forge ahead with a proposed $52.5 million, 5,000-seat spectator facility downtown.

Staff also recommends building a $10.6-million, 700-seat arena.

The Standard wants to hear from you.

Do you think the city should build the arena? Why or why not? At what cost? Should they build both the spectator facility and the additional 700-seat arena?

A complete copy of the Spectator Facility report is available on the City of St. Catharines' website at http://www.stcatharines.ca/en/.

Tell us what you think by Friday at 12 p.m.

How to get in touch:

Email: standard@stcatharinesstandard.ca, subject: Arena

Facebook: facebook.com/stcatharinesstandard

Twitter: twitter.com/StCatStandard

Drop off a letter: 17 Queen St.

We'll print a selection of comments, letters in Saturday's Standard. The remainder will go online.

Thanks!

Cheers,

Wade Graham
