Ben Johnson Named Precision Jewellers Player of the Month
December 1, 2011 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Windsor Spitfires News Release
(Windsor) The Windsor Spitfires announced today that forward Ben Johnson is the Precision Jewellers Player of the Month for the month of November 2011. This is the third accolade Ben has received in almost as many weeks after being named player of the week twice in a row. Ben broke through offensively in November by scoring 6 goals and accumulating 12 points with a +8 rating, while also continuing to play a strong two-way game. This offensive outburst has pushed him into a tie for seventh in overall OHL rookie scoring.
The former Michigan High School "Mr. Hockey" has been nothing short of sensational in his rookie year with the Spits. Johnson's top notch speed and superb puck handling skills have been key to his early OHL success. His high level of maturity and tenacious work ethic has set him apart as not only a rising hockey star but a model citizen.
