St. Catharines, ON - A natural hat trick by Andrew Agozzino led the Niagara IceDogs to a 7-2 in over the Erie Otters Thursday night.

Each team was unable to convert on a power play to begin the game but the IceDogs were able to take a 2-0 lead going into the second period on a pair of late first period goals by Agozzino.

Agozzino completed his hat trick just over five minutes into the second, and Mitchell Theoret followed up three minutes later as the IceDogs led by four after 40 minutes of play.

Connor Brown put the Otters on the board seven minutes and 14 seconds into the third as he followed up on a blocked shot in the slot and deposited his ninth goal of the season through Mark Visentin to make it 4-1, Niagara.

The IceDogs added two more to grab a five-goal lead before Stephen Harper continued his excellent rookie year with his ninth goal of the year. The first round selection roofed a shot from the left circle with five minutes and 12 seconds left to play.

Theoret would add his second of the game late to give the hometown IceDogs a 7-2 win.

The Otters had some good news tonight as Adam Pelech was among four Otters who returned to the lineup from injury. Pelech had a +1 rating, joining Nathan Glass (+2) as plus Otters for the night.

The Otters return home to play the Barrie Colts Friday night at 7:00 p.m. Fans can buy tickets by calling 814-452-4857 or online at ottershockey.com.
