AUSTIN - The Austin Spurs (6-17) fell to the Birmingham Squadron (6-18), 103-110, at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park on Thursday night.

Chaundee Brown Jr. led in points for the Spurs, scoring 18. Julian Champagnie claimed a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Brandon Randolph and Jordan Hall both chipped in 15 points.

The Spurs took control of the first frame, outscoring the Squadron 26-17, shooting 60% (12-20) from the field. Birmingham fought back in the second frame, going on a 13-0 run with 2:50 remaining as they outscored Austin 30-19, to lead by two at the end of half, 47-45. In the third, Squadron guard, Kelan Martin, scored 18 of his 25 points that gave Birmingham the advantage, 80-73. Baskets were traded in the fourth quarter with Austin going on a 13-3 run with 6:43 remaining in the game to cut the deficit to four but it wouldn't get any closer.

Dereon Seabron led the Squadron with 26 points. Javonte Smart added 20 points and 7 rebounds while James Kelly Sr. notched a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds in Birmingham's win over Austin.
