Today, the Stockton Kings, the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, announced the Portland Trail Blazers have completed a flex-transfer of John Butler Jr. to the Stockton Kings.
A former Florida State Seminole, Butler Jr. saw action in 31 games (24 starts) during his one-year stint at FSU (2021-22), averaging 5.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 18.9 minutes per game. A 7-1 center, he finished his collegiate career as the first freshman in Florida State history to lead the team in 3-point field goals made (33) and 3-point field goal percentage (.393).
Butler Jr. has appeared in eight games with the Trail Blazers.
