Small forward Jericole Hellems signed with the Stockton Kings in December 2022 and is hoping to make an impact on a team with championship aspirations.

Hellems played all four years of his college career at North Carolina State University. He showed improvement from his freshman to his sophomore year, going from a 5.3 scoring average to a 9.5. In his sophomore season, he led the team in not only scoring but also rebounding and steals four different times each while shooting 77.9% from the free throw line. Overall in his second year, he scored double figures in 14 games including one game scoring over 20 points.

Hellems would make a statement in his junior year as an Honorable Mention All-ACC selection. He appeared in all 25 games and made 24 starts throughout the season. Hellems averaged 12.9 points and 5.0 rebounds per game and was second on the team in scoring and third overall in assists. He hit the second-most 3-pointers on the team with 31 in total.

In his final season at North Carolina, Hellems would start in all 32 games, averaging 13.7 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. He would finish his college career third on the team in scoring and second in rebounding, as well as with thesecond most 3-pointers on the team for the season with 73 in total.

Hellems would finish his college career in 2022 with 1,244 points scored, 160 three-pointers made, 469 rebounds, 142 assists and 96 steals in total.

In the summer of 2022 Hellems played for the Boston Celtics Summer League.

On July 31, 2022, Hellems signed overseas with the Greek club, Promitheas Patras. He would stay there until October when he would come back the U.S. to take part in the G-League Draft, where he was selected 5th overall by Oklahoma City.
