CEDAR PARK, Texas - The Birmingham Squadron, NBA G League affiliate of the New Orleans Pelicans, topped the Austin Spurs, 110-103, on Thursday night at the H-E-B Center. The win marks Birmingham's second straight win against the Spurs on the road.

Birmingham used a 30-point second quarter to take a two-point lead into intermission and never trailed in the final 22:25 of the contest.

Twenty-plus-point performances from Dereon Seabron (26), Kelan Martin (25) and Javonte Smart (20) powered the Squadron offensively, while James Kelly, Sr. recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 boards.

Austin was paced by Chaundee Brown, Jr.'s 18 points.

Thursday's game featured five lead changes and one tie. Each squad led by as many as 15 in the game.

Birmingham returns home to Legacy Arena at the BJCC on Sunday afternoon as the Squadron play host to defending NBA G League champion Rio Grande Valley. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. and the game can be seen on My68 WABM or NBAGLeague.com.
