
Spitfires Fall to Generals 6-3

The Oshawa Generals rolled into town for a matchup with the red hot Spitfires. Windsor came into the game with a 5 game win streak on the line.
In the first period, it only took the Spitfires 38 seconds to get on the board. Wyatt Johnston was all alone in front of the next and put it behind the netminder. The Spitfires lead 14-6 in shots after one period.
In the second period, it took just under seven minutes for the Generals to tie the game at 1. However, the Spitfires responded just six minutes later. Douglas scored a beauty up on the short side to put the Spits up 2-1. and later on the powerplay Douglas deflected a point shot from Corcoran that found the back of the net, making it a 3-1 Spitfire lead after 40 minutes of play.
In the third period, the Generals scored 5 unanswered goals to take the game by a final score of 6-3.
The Spitfires' next game is Saturday January 11th in Flint, puck drop at 7:00pm. Following that the Spitfires' are playing Sunday January 12th in Kitchener, puck drop at 2:00pm. The Spitfires' next home game is Saturday January 18th as we take on the Erie Otters.
