Spirit Well Represented In NHL Draft Midterm Rankings

(Saginaw, MI) Here Today, NHL Tomorrow! The National Hockey League's Central Scouting Bureau released its midterm rankings Monday, highlighting the top eligible prospects for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. The Saginaw Spirit were well represented in the rankings, with three of its active players amongst the top 200 North American Skaters. Center Ivan Telegin was ranked 26th overall, winger Josh Shalla 64th overall and center Michael Sgarbossa 183rd overall.

The Canadian Hockey League boasted nine of the top ten North American prospects, with six of those coming out of the Ontario Hockey League. Taylor Hall of the Windsor Spitfires is ranked the top North American Prospect, while Tyler Seguin of the Plymouth Whalers and Cam Fowler of the Spitfires are ranked second and third respectively.
