Saginaw Spirit Partner With USA Hockey And Reebok For Hockey Weekend Across America

(Saginaw, MI) The Saginaw Spirit are proud to partner with USA Hockey and Reebok for Hockey Weekend Across America! The effort is aimed at both celebrating the game of hockey and all involved plus providing opportunities for those who haven't played or watched hockey the opportunity to experience it. The national three day event runs from Friday, January 29 through Sunday, January 31 - but the Spirit will be 'dropping the puck' a day early with a special ticket offer for their Thursday, January 28 home game!

The Spirit take on the Brampton Battalion Thursday, January 28 at 7:11 PM. Youth hockey players and coaches can wear their jersey to the January 28 Spirit home game to receive a complimentary ticket! Additional tickets can be purchased for family and friends at a special discounted rate of $8.50! Visit the Official Saginaw Spirit Ticket and Merchandise Store at 5789 State Street to get your tickets before the game, or visit the special Hockey Weekend Across America table in The Dow Event Center Atrium the night of the game!

Hockey Weekend Across America officially starts on Friday, January 29. USA Hockey and ShopUSAHockey.com encourage fans to wear their favorite hockey jerseys that day, and send a picture to them at HockeyWeekendAcrossAmerica.com! Help spread the passion for hockey throughout the day!

The National Hockey League is presenting 'Bring a Friend to the Rink' day on Saturday, January 30. Fans are encouraged to take their friends that have yet to see a hockey game to their local rink to see the action live. The Spirit are hosting a game that night against the Sarnia Sting at 7:11 PM. Fans can take a picture of themselves with their friend, hockey's newest enthusiast, at the game and send it to HockeyWeekendAcrossAmerica.com! It's the annual MCVI Foundation's Shocks and Saves Event that Saturday, featuring a pre game match-up with local doctors, paramedics and former Detroit Red Wings including Jiri Fischer hitting the ice to raise funds and awareness for the healthy heart health cause! Also scheduled to appear in the game are Dave Lewis, Mickey Redmond, Igor Larionov, Dallas Drake and Jason Wooley.

Hockey Weekend Across America wraps up on Sunday, January 31. USA Hockey knows that every hockey community has individuals who helped make the game great for its players and fans! It's the perfect day to honor these hockey heroes with ceremonies at youth, junior, college or professional games, letters to the editors of local newspapers or even sincere one-on-one expressions of gratitude.
