The Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League announced today that they have re-assigned goaltender Chris Festarini from the Port Colborne Pirates of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League.

A fifth round pick of the Otters in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection, the 6-1, 170-lb. Festarini made his OHL debut in Saturday's 8-7 shootout loss against the London Knights. He represented Team Ontario at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

A resident of Oakville, Ontario, the 16 year-old Festarini played in his hometown last season, posting a 2.33 goals-against-average with five shutouts. He is 5-13-1-1 with a 4.05 goals-against-average in 21 games with Port Colborne this season.

"As an organization, we feel that Chris will be better prepared to enter the OHL next season," Otters General Manager Sherry Bassin said "Going back to Port Colborne, he'll be the number one goaltender and face lots of shots."

The Otters return to Erie with a three-game homestand starting Friday night against the Brampton Battalion at 7:00 p.m. The Otters will host the Sarnia Sting Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. and the Kitchener Rangers Monday evening at 6:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster, the Civic Center box office, or by calling 452-4857.
