GUELPH, ONT. - On Friday night, the Saginaw Spirit travelled to the Sleeman Centre for the fourth and final matchup of the season against the Guelph Storm. The Spirit and Storm split the series, as Nicolas Sicoly secured a 4-3 shootout victory for the Guelph Storm over the Saginaw Spirit.
It took 29 seconds into Friday night's contest for the Saginaw Spirit to open the game's scoring and take a 1-0 lead over the Guelph Storm. On the Spirit's second shot of the evening, Kris Bennett beat Michael Giugovaz top-shelf on his career-high 16th goal of the season. Brady Gilmour was credited with the lone assist on the play.
