Special Performance by Harlem Globetrotter Next Monday

Frisco, TX (January 20, 2011) - The Texas Legends announced today that fans will have a chance to see a special performance by Blenda Rodriguez, a member of the Harlem Globetrotters, at halftime of Monday night's contest against the Maine Red Claws. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m.

The Globetrotters are in town to play an exhibition game at the American Airlines Center on Saturday, January 29 at 1:00 p.m.

Rodriguez's passion for basketball led him to create his own ball handling show that he performed in NBA arenas and schools, which took him throughout the U.S., London and Japan. Blenda was rated the number one ball handler in 2007 at a StreetGodz event freestyle battle, where he competed against the top eight ball handling free-stylists from New York, California, Illinois, and Virginia.

The Legends have five home games over the next ten days, beginning tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. with the Maine Red Claws. The home schedule continues next Monday (Maine), Wednesday (Utah), Friday (Utah) and Sunday (New Mexico). All games are scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off, except next Sunday's game against New Mexico, which will start at 3:00 p.m.
