(OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.) - The Sugar Land Space Cowboys closed out their three-game road trip with a 6-1 loss to the Oklahoma City Dodgers on Thursday night.

They head back to Constellation Field on Friday night to begin a three-game series against the Las Vegas Aviators.

Shawn Dubin got the start Thursday and struck out a season-high seven batters through 4 1/3 innings. Dubin has struck out 13 batters through his last two outings (8.1 IP).

Alex De Goti provided the Space Cowboys' run with a sacrifice fly to score Alex McKenna in the sixth. JJ Matijevic finished the night 2-for-4 with a pair of singles.

Miguel Vargas provided the bulk of the Oklahoma City offense, hitting a three-run homer in the third.

Jonathan Bermudez is set to take the mound for the series opener vs. Las Vegas at 7:05 p.m on Friday, with the Aviators scheduled to start lefty Jared Koenig. The Space Cowboys will give 2,000 fans replica Lance McCullers Jr. 2022 Houston Astros American League Championship rings as they enter the gates for Friday's game.
