AMARILLO, Tex. - A three-run sixth inning proved to be the difference for the Amarillo Sox (41-51) on Saturday night as they defeated the Kansas City T-Bones (42-49), 3-2, at Amarillo National Bank Sox Stadium in Amarillo, TX.

Jim Fasano gave Kansas City an early 1-0 lead with a solo home run off Justin Garcia (8-5) to open the second inning. Garcia locked in after the blast, retiring the next eight batters before surrendering a walk to Fasano in the fourth. He sat down 17 of the next 18 batters after Fasano's home run to take the game into the seventh inning.

T.J. Large (4-7) outdueled Garcia through the first five innings, taking a no-hitter into the sixth for Kansas City. Large induced a groundout to open the inning before surrendering three straight hits, including an RBI single to Van Pope that tied the game at one. After a sacrifice fly from former T-Bone Nick Farnsworth, Kevin Butler added an RBI single of his own to chase Large and give Amarillo a 3-1 advantage.

Large took the loss for Kansas City after allowing three runs on four hits over five and two-thirds innings.

The T-Bones pulled within one on an RBI triple by Justin Snyder in the seventh to cap the score at 3-2. Garcia lasted seven innings for the Sox, earning the victory after surrendering two runs on just three hits while striking out 11.

Drew Graham finished the sixth for Large and added a scoreless seventh before giving way to Chris Little in the eighth. Little surrendered one hit in a scoreless frame to close out the game for Kansas City.

Chad Povich retired both of the batters he faced in the ninth to secure his second save of the year.

Kansas City looks to Devin Anderson (6-7, 4.92) on Sunday night as they hope to prevent the sweep against Ryan Mitchell (5-6, 4.14) and the Sox. First pitch is set for 6:05. To follow the T-Bones on the road, listen live on KUDL Radio Bach 1660 AM or online at www.tbonesbaseball.com.
