Hagerstown, MD - The Hagerstown Suns (16-11) won their fourth straight game, beating the Augusta GreenJackets (12-15), 4-1, at Municipal Stadium on Saturday night.

Suns starting pitcher Alex Meyer (2-3) delivered seven strong innings in the longest outing of his career, striking out six batters while allowing one run on four hits. Todd Simko pitched a scoreless eighth inning to set up Aaron Barrett's second save of the season in the ninth.

Right fielder Steven Souza blasted a pair of solo home runs in the game and finished with three RBIs to paced the Suns attack. J.P. Ramirez added a pair of hits and an RBI from the designated hitter's position.

GreenJackets starter Bryce Bandilla (1-2) suffered his second straight loss to the Suns, allowing a pair of runs on three hits over five innings pitched.

The Suns will play game two against the August GreenJackets on Sunday afternoon at 1:05 p.m. Right-hander Taylor Hill (3-1) will start for the Suns against Augusta's RHP Kyle Crick (0-1).
