Seattle Sounders FC News Release
SEATTLE, WASH. - After a historic victory on Wednesday over Pumas UNAM to win the 2022 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League in front of a record-breaking crowd at Lumen Field, Sounders FC returns to MLS action on Saturday evening against Western Conference rival FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium (5:30 p.m. PT / FOX 13+, Prime Video, 93.3 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM). This marks the first league match for the Rave Green since April 23 at San Jose.
Ahead of Saturday's matchup, Sounders FC has recalled Ethan Dobbelaere from his loan with MFK Vyškov, and is eligible for selection for today's match against FC Dallas. The 19-year-old was loaned to the Czech second division club on February 5 of this year.

Sounders FC's 3-0 win over Pumas in the second leg of the 2022 SCCL Final on Wednesday featured a brace from Raúl Ruidíaz and a shutout from Stefan Frei, who was named Goalkeeper of the Tournament and Player of the Tournament following the match. The sellout crowd of 68,741 at Lumen Field broke the all-time SCCL attendance record for a standalone match, surpassing the crowd of 66,208 that watched the 2014-2015 Semifinal second leg between Club América and Herediano at Estadio Azteca.
Sounders FC sits 12th in the Western Conference with seven points (2-4-1) in just seven games played this season, while Dallas is tied for third with 16 points (4-1-4). Since entering MLS in 2009, Seattle leads the regular-season series with FC Dallas 13-7-8, in addition to a 4-2-2 edge in postseason action.
Following this weekend's action, Brian Schmetzer's side begins its 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup campaign on Wednesday, May 11 against the San Jose Earthquakes at Starfire Stadium (7:00 p.m. PT / ESPN+).
