Houston Dynamo FC News Release
HOUSTON - Houston Dynamo FC return to the East Coast this weekend to face D.C. United at Audi Field. Today's match is scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT and fans can follow the action live on AT&T SportsNet in English or TeleXitos 47.2 in Spanish.
The Dynamo will play three games in the next seven days beginning today with their first visit to the nation's capital since 2018. Houston returns to PNC Stadium on Wednesday, May 11 to host San Antonio FC in the Round of 32 of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and close the week at home against Nashville SC.
Houston looks to bounce back after falling at home for the first time this season last Saturday. Forward Sebastian Ferreira scored the opening goal of the game after he caught the Austin shot stopper off his line. The Paraguayan international launched a 61-yard strike into the heart of the goal for his fourth goal of the year early in the first half. Defender Adam Lundkvsit tallied his third assist of the year on that play after he controlled a clearance from Austin goalkeeper Brad Stuver.
This is the first meeting between Houston and D.C. in two seasons and the Dynamo won the last meeting between both teams in 2019 at PNC Stadium. Dynamo Academy alum Memo Rodriguez scored the equalizer in that match early in the second half after he dribbled past two defenders to the top of the box and beat D.C. goalkeeper Bill Hamid at the far post. Lundkvist also tallied the game-winning assist in that match against D.C. United.
The Dynamo return to PNC Stadium for league play on Saturday, May 14 to host Nashville SC at 7:30 p.m. CT. The Club will celebrate the 10th anniversary of PNC Stadium with $10 tickets to the match and the first 2,500 fans will receive a Dynamo flag banner, courtesy of Shell Energy.

Here are three key points ahead of today's match:
DYNAMO RETURN TO D.C.: The Dynamo return to the nation's capital for the first time since 2018 when Houston played D.C. United to a 2-2 draw at the Maryland SoccerPlex. This is the first time the team will visit Audi Field and the Dynamo enter the match with 5-5-3 record on the road against the four-time MLS Cup champions. Houston is also unbeaten in their last three visits to the nation's capital and look to extend their overall unbeaten run against D.C. United to six games.
FERREIRA FINDS OPPOSING NET: Dynamo forward Sebastian Ferreira has scored four goals in his last four outings for the team, which includes back-to-back goals against in-state MLS opponents. The forward scored his first goal of the season on April 9 and finished with a brace in Houston's 4-3 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes. The forward is currently tied with Darwin Quintero for the most goals scored for the team this season and the duo face a D.C. United backline that has conceded eight goals at home, tied for the third most in the Eastern Conference.
D.C. UNITED UNDER NEW LEADERSHIP: D.C. United promoted assistant coach Chad Ashton to interim head coach in April after the team parted ways with Hernán Losada. The team split their two games under Ashton with a 3-2 victory over the New England Revolution on April 23 and they fell on the road 3-0 to the Columbus Crew on May 30. Their victory against the Revolution was their second victory at home this season and the team holds a 2-3-0 record at Audi Field in 2022.
