Sounders FC Invites Fans to Relive Top Matches in Club History with Special Broadcasts Each Saturday Evening

SEATTLE, WASH. - Sounders FC today announced, in partnership with JOEtv, a new opportunity to provide fans of the Rave Green with a taste of their favorite team during Major League Soccer's ongoing suspension of play. Starting this Saturday, March 21, and continuing each Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m. PT, fans can tune in to Sounders FC Classics, a new series that will re-air the best matches in Sounders FC history.

"During this unprecedented time, we have been challenged to think creatively and innovatively in how to connect with our community," said Sounders FC President of Business Operations Peter Tomozawa. "We know how much this club means to its fans and, with Sounders FC Classics, we're excited to provide what we hope is a bit of light in the midst of trying circumstances. Our goal is to bring this amazing Rave Green community a chance to come together while apart, cheering on and reliving - or perhaps experiencing for the first time - the joy of some of the club's best moments."

"What better way to kick it all off than with last year's thrilling MLS Cup victory!"

In addition to the match broadcasts on television, SoundersFC.com and the Sounders FC app, each game will feature a different host - including Sounders FC alumni and current players - streaming live from the club's Twitter account to offer additional commentary, from analyzing the game to sharing matchday memories. Each matchday host will engage with fans and special guests, providing new ways for the Sounders FC community to come together. This Saturday's matchday Twitter livestream is set to be hosted by former Sounder and current member of the club's broadcast team Steve Zakuani.

Sounders FC Classics is available live on JOEtv, as well as both live and archived for later viewing on SoundersFC.com and via the Sounders FC mobile app for those within the Sounders FC broadcast territory throughout the state of Washington. The second screen Twitter livestream opportunity is available for fans globally.

Following this Saturday's re-air of the 2019 MLS Cup, the subsequent three weeks feature planned matches, which are listed below. After that point, fans have the ability to vote on which match is re-aired each of the remaining weeks.
