Seattle Sounders FC News Release
SEATTLE, WASH. - This Sunday, June 9, Sounders FC and RAVE Foundation host the third annual STRIKES with Sounders benefit event at West Seattle Bowl from 3:00-5:00 p.m. PT. STRIKES provides a casual and lively atmosphere where fans can interact with players and coaches while raising awareness and funds for RAVE Foundation, the official charitable arm of Seattle Sounders FC.
Continuing the success of the program's first two years, STRIKES with Sounders returns in 2019 to support RAVE Foundation in its mission to make investments in the region's most vulnerable communities by building soccer fields for free play, providing soccer training and balls to children in need, and by creating programs that use soccer as a vehicle to empower and inspire. This year's event is presented by VIP Sponsor Delta Air Lines, who is also the presenting sponsor of RAVE Foundation's ONE Ball program.
At STRIKES with Sounders, fans have the opportunity to bowl alongside Sounders FC players and coaches, win prizes, bid on unique items and experiences, and perhaps even come away with the STRIKES Trophy for the highest scoring team.
New in 2019 is the STRIKES Kids Zone, hosted by Sammy the Sounder, where children ages 6-16 can bowl and will be visited by Sounders FC players throughout the event, with additional free giveaways provided by adidas.
Players and coaches will rotate through various bowling teams over the course of the afternoon, while donning custom-made bowling shirts that will be autographed and then auctioned off throughout the event.
Fans interested in attending, whether registering as a bowler or not, can still register at www.SoundersFC.com/Strikes.
