
Sound Tigers Take Two Of Three

The Sound Tigers won two out of three games last week sandwiching a 1-0 shutout of the Providence Bruins at home Wednesday and a 4-1 road win over the Hershey Bears Saturday around a 3-1 road loss to the League's hottest team, the Philadelphia Phantoms, Friday. The Sound Tigers finished last week on a four-game winning streak at home and in fifth place in the East Division with 18 points and a 9-7 record, including 7-1 at home and 2-6 on the road.
WED NOV 17th vs. PRO, 1-0 W: ROB COLLINS scored his second game-winning goal of the season, and WADE DUBIELEWICZ made 31 saves for his first shutout of the season and the tenth of his professional career. Both teams were 0 for 5 on the power play. Providence had a 31-30 shots on goal advantage.
FRI NOV 19th at PHI, 3-1 L: SEAN BERGENHEIM scored the Sound Tigers' lone goal while RANDY JONES led Philadelphia with a goal and two assists. The Sound Tigers were 0 for 3 on the power play but 5 for 5 on the penalty kill. They also outshot the Phantoms 27-26.
SAT NOV 20th at HER, 4-1 W: JUSTIN MAPLETOFT assisted on the game-winning goal by SEAN BERGENHEIM and capped the scoring with an empty-netter. KEVIN COLLEY and ROB COLLINS also scored. WADE DUBIELEWICZ made 30 saves. The Sound Tigers were 0 for 5 on the power play but 10 for 10 on the penalty kill. They also registered a season-high for shots on goal in a game with a 39-31 advantage marking the first time they've outshot the opposition in consecutive games this season.
SOUND TIGERS PLAYER OF THE WEEK â G WADE DUBIELEWICZ
Dubielewicz stopped 61 of the 62 shots he faced to go 2-0 with a 0.50 goals against average and .980 save percentage in two games last week. The reigning AHL Rookie of the Year is now on a three-game win streak, and Wednesday's 1-0 home win over Providence was the tenth shutout of his professional career. Dubielewicz is 5-4 with a 2.33 goals against average, .922 save percentage and one shutout in nine games this season.
THIS WEEK â Thanksgiving In Bingo Kicks Off Three Game Holiday Week
The Sound Tigers will play three games in three nights this week beginning with their second Thanksgiving visit to Binghamton in as many years to play the Senators this Thursday. They will return home to host the Hartford Wolf Pack at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard this Friday and visit the Worcester IceCats this Saturday.
THU NOV 25th at BIN, 6:05 p.m.: This will be the second of eight meetings of the teams this season, the first of four in Binghamton. The Sound Tigers beat the Senators 5-4 on the road last Thanksgiving and are 7-7-1 all-time versus Binghamton, including 1-0 this season and 1-3 on the road last season. The Senators finished last week just ahead of the Sound Tigers in fourth place in the East Division with 19 points and a record of 8-7-1-2, including 6-3-1-1 at home.
FRI NOV 26th vs. HAR, 7:35 p.m.: This will be the third of ten meetings of the teams this season, the second of five at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard. The Sound Tigers are 17-12-3 all-time versus Hartford, including a pair of one-goal losses in each of this season's two previous meetings. Friday's game will also be the third contest of the 2004-05 GEICO CONNECTICUT CUP. The Wolf Pack finished last week on a three-game winless skid at 0-1-1-1 but in second place in the Atlantic Division with 22 points and a 10-3-1-1 record, including 3-1-1- on the road. Hartford will visit the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins this Wednesday before finishing a stretch of five straight road games this Friday in Bridgeport.
SAT NOV 27th at WOR, 7:05 p.m.: This will be the first of four meetings of the teams this season, the first of two at the newly-renamed DCU Center in Worcester. The Sound Tigers are 6-1-1 all-time versus the IceCats, including 2-0 last season with a 3-2 road win and a 2-0 shutout victory at home. Worcester finished last week tied with the Portland Pirates for third place in the Atlantic Division with 19 points and a 9-5-1 record, including 6-2-1 at home. The IceCats will host Portland this Wednesday and the Lowell Lock Monsters this Friday.

The Sound Tigers are scheduled to practice at the Rinks at Shelton Tuesday at 10 a.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m., as well as at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard Wednesday at 10 a.m. and Friday at 11 a.m. They will depart for Binghamton Wednesday afternoon and return to Bridgeport following Thursday's game.
