Johnny Boychuk scored his second goal of the season to provide the offense Friday night, the BEARS wrapped up a five-game road trip by defeating the Albany River Rats at Pepsi Arena 4-2. Carl Corazzini scored his first goal in a HERSHEY uniform after being acquired last Monday from the Providence Bruins. Jeff Ulmer scored the first short-handed goal of the season for HERSHEY in the first period, and Mathieu Darche and Dean Arsene had single goals to round out the offensive attack. Peter Budaj won his fourth game of the season in the contest, making 26 saves. Saturday night, the BEARS returned home to GIANT Center and fell to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 4-1. Jeff Ulmer scored his second goal of the week to account for the offense. On Sunday, the BEARS rebounded to beat Albany 4-3 in overtime at GIANT Center. Carl Corazzini scored the game's first goal, but HERSHEY fell behind 3-1 during the second period. Brett Clark scored his first goal of the season to narrow the gap to 3-2 before David Masse tied the game late in the third period to force overtime. Masse then scored the overtime game-winner on the power play 48 seconds into sudden death to clinch the victory. The BEARS begin the week 6-10-1-0; good for 13 points and seventh place in the AHL's East Division standings.
