San Antonio Rampage News Release
Norfolk 4 - Rampage 3 (SO): Three Rampage players scored and ended goal-scoring droughts as San Antonio picked up a point in the standings with a 4-3 shootout loss against the Norfolk Admirals Friday night.
Trailing 3-1, Rampage captain Paul Healey brought the team within one when he scored his third goal of the season at 4:16 in the second, ending a nine-game drought. Left wing Eric Beaudoin's four-game goal scoring deficit ended midway in the period, at 10:44, to record his third goal of the season. Rampage left wing Ryan Jardine, who hadn't scored a goal since the second game of the season (Oct. 16), scored the team's first goal at 11:45 in the first period.
San Antonio goaltender Travis Scott held strong in the third period, turning away all 25 shots in the third period and overtime. Scott, who ranks sixth among AHL netminders in saves, stopped 18 in the third period alone, while the Admirals held the Rampage to only four shots.
Norfolk 3 - Rampage 0: On Saturday, San Antonio goaltender Patrick DesRochers started for the first time in eight games and looked sharp early on. At one point he had stopped 24 of 25 shots before allowing Mike Brown's goal at 10:34 in the third period, and Adam Munro stopped all 17 shots he faced as Norfolk beat the Rampage 3-0.
