
Sound Tigers Release Nic Bilotto

BRIDGEPORT, CT â The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have announced the release of defenseman Nic Bilotto from his professional tryout contract.
Bilotto appeared in five games for the Sound Tigers after posting three goals, 15 assists, 18 points and 66 penalty minutes in 43 games with the United Hockey League's Danbury Trashers earlier this season. He has returned to Danbury and is also scheduled to play in tonight's UHL All-Star Game in Glens Falls, New York.
The Sound Tigers will play three games in three days this weekend visiting the Providence Bruins this Friday at 7:05 p.m. and hosting the Philadelphia Phantoms this Saturday at 7:05 p.m. and the Hartford Wolf Pack this Sunday at 4:05 p.m. All games are web cast live at www.soundtigers.com. Most games, including those this Friday and Saturday, are also broadcast live on 600 WICC-AM.
