On The Ice: The Rochester Americans (27-9-3-4, 61 points) have continued their consistant play, including a 3-0-0-1 record in their last four games. The team has the fourth-best record in the AHL and second in the Western Conference. (one point behind Manitoba) The Amerks have also won 14 of their last 17 games.

The Cleveland Barons (19-21-1-3, 42 points) host the Amerks on Tuesday night. Rochester leads the season series 2-0-0, capturing 4-1 victories in each contest. On January 7th, Amerks forward Daniel Paille picked up his first professional hat trick in the game. Goaltender Tom Askey is 2-0-0, with a 1.00 GAA against the Barons this season. The Amerks own the all-time record with a 17-8-3 mark. The Barons are averaging 2.41 goals-per game (21st in the AHL). Defenseman Christian Ehrhoff is tied for second among AHL defensemen with nine goals.

The Bulldogs (18-18-5-4, 45 points) will host the Amerks twice this week. The Amerks are
2-1-0-1 against Hamilton this season. On December 11th, the Bulldogs picked up a 3-2 shootout win over the Amerks. Rochester still leads the all-time series with a 38-34-7 mark. Forward Tomas Plekanec continues to lead the team in points with 30 (15+15).

Binghamton Senators at Rochester Americans

The Amerks will look for revenge against the red-hot Binghamton Senators (26-14-3-2, 57 points) on Friday night. On January 15th, the Sens scored four goals in the first period to hand the Amerks a 5-1 loss. So far this season, the Amerks are 2-1-1 against Binghamton. Forward Thomas Vanek leads the Amerks in scoring in the series with seven points (3+4), while Denis Hamel (2+6) leads the Sens with eight points. Binghamton has won eight-straight games. The Sens continue to be one of the most potent teams in the AHL offensively. Forward Jason Spezza leads the AHL in points with 69 (22+47) and rookie Brandon Bochenski leads all rookies in points with 35 (17+18).

· The Amerks have dropped to 18th in the AHL on the power play with a 14.4% success rate (35 for 243). The team is now second in the league penalty killing with an 89.3 percentage (191 for 214). The team is also ranked third in the AHL defensivly, allowing 2.23 goals-per game.
· Amerks forward Geoff Peters currently has a four-game point streak (1+3).
· Goaltender Ryan Miller leads all AHL goaltenders with 22 wins and is tied for the league lead with five shutouts.
· Forward Norm Milley is now 20th on the team's all-time games played list with 336. Forward Sean McMorrow is 10th on the all-time penalty minutes list with 733.
