Sound Tigers Release Liotti, Isles Return Wshart

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Mar. 7, 2011) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced today that defenseman Louis Liotti was released from his PTO following last night's game against Providence and defenseman Ty Wishart has been returned to the Sound Tigers by the New York Islanders.

Liotti signed a PTO with the Sound Tigers prior to yesterday's game against Providence and recorded no points. Liotti returns to the Reading Royals of the ECHL where he has 13 assists in 53 games this season.

Wishart returns to the Sound Tigers after his first stint with the Islanders and second career NHL call-up. The Comox, BC native appeared in 13 games with the Islanders and recorded three assists as well as his first career NHL goal on Feb. 13 against the Buffalo Sabres. Wishart heads back to the Sound Tigers where he shows five assists in 12 games.
