Bears Acquire Left Wing Andrew Kozek on Loan from Chicago

HERSHEY - The 2010 Calder Cup Champion HERSHEY BEARS announced today the club has acquired left wing Andrew Kozek on loan from the Chicago Wolves. In a corresponding roster move, defenseman Josh Godfrey has been loaned to Chicago. The announcement was made today by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.

Kozek, 24, is 5'11", 185 lbs, and is a former second round selection of the Atlanta Thrashers in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. A four-year letterman at the University of North Dakota, Kozek has seven goals and 12 points this season with Chicago in 57 games played. He scored a career-high 12 goals last season while with the Wolves.

Godfrey was scoreless in three games for HERSHEY this season.

The BEARS begin a four-game road trip Tuesday in Portland against the Pirates at the Cumberland County Civic Center. Faceoff Tuesday is at 6:30 p.m., with airtime at 6:00 p.m. on the BEARS Radio Network.
