
Kozek To Join Hershey Bears

The Atlanta Thrashers have loaned left wing ANDREW KOZEK from the Chicago Wolves to the Hershey Bears. In addition, the Washington Capitals have loaned defenseman JOSH GODFREY to Chicago.
GODFREY, who was selected by Washington with their second choice, 34th overall, in the 2007 National Hockey League Entry Draft, has appeared in 49 games with the ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays this season. He ranks second on the team with 15 goals and paces team defensemen and ranks fifth overall on the team with 27 points. He was selected to the 2011 ECHL All-Star Classic, and set an ECHL All-Star Skills Competition record when his slap shot was clocked at 102.7 mph.
The 23-year-old blueliner has appeared in 18 career American Hockey League games with the Hershey Bears over parts of three seasons (2008-2011), recording six assists and 23 penalty minutes. He also skated in one Calder Cup playoff outing with the Bears in 2008, posting a +2 plus/minus rating.
The Collingwood, Ontario, native has recorded 43 assists, 68 points and 74 penalty minutes in 115 career ECHL outings with South Carolina, spanning three seasons (2008 to present.)
Prior to turning pro, GODFREY registered 133 points (49G, 84A) in 209 career Ontario Hockey League outings with the Guelph Storm (2004-06) and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds (2005-08).
KOZEK has tallied seven goals and 12 points in 57 outings with the Wolves this season. The 24-year-old forward has appeared in 131 career AHL outings with the Wolves from 2009 to present, amassing 21 goals, 36 points and 81 penalty minutes.
The Wolves host the Peoria Rivermen at the Allstate Arena on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
