BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Nov. 29, 2011) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced they are hosting their annual Teddy Bear Toss at their Sunday, Dec. 4 contest against the Hershey Bears.

All fans in attendance are encouraged to bring a teddy bear or stuffed animal which will be donated to local area hospitals. After the Sound Tigers score their first goal, fans will toss their teddy bears onto the ice. Sound Tigers players and staff will travel to various pediatric wards of local area hospitals later this month to donate the teddy bears to some young fans.

"The teddy bear toss is certainly one of our favorite events that we host as an organization." said Sound Tigers President Howard Saffan. "Our fans are always incredibly generous with their donations of teddy bears, and our players take great pride in making a child's day by hand-delivering these gifts."

Last season, the Sound Tigers donated over 500 teddy bears and stuffed animals to local area hospitals and charitable organizations.
