St. Louis Recalls Cade Fairchild

St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has recalled defenseman Cade Fairchild from the Blues' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.

Fairchild, 21, has appeared in 19 games with the Rivermen this season, recording seven points (two goals, five assists) and a +16 rating. His +16 rating is the best in the American Hockey League. The 5'11, 175-pound defenseman spent the last four years at the University of Minnesota where he accrued 93 points (21 goals, 72 assists) in 149 games.

The Duluth, Minnesota native was drafted by the Blues in the fourth round, 96th overall, of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
