Barons Floor Hockey Caravan Rolls On

Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma City Barons are bringing hockey indoors to two different elementary schools this week, the team's front office announced today.

As part of their initiative to promote healthy living and team work, the Barons have teamed with the Schools for Healthy Lifestyles Foundation to provide a lesson about hockey as well as the importance of healthy living, being active, staying in school and working as a team. The equipment can be used by groups as small as 20 kids to as many as 80.

This week, the Barons will bring their Floor Hockey to two elementary schools. The dates include:

November 30 Herronville Elementary 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

December 1 Tinker Elementary 9:20 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Oklahoma City, OK 73135

The Barons earn a much-deserved break and will not practice until Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. at the Cox Convention Center. Players and coaches will be available for interviews following practice. Head Coach Todd Nelson and his squad return to game action at home this Friday against the San Antonio Rampage. Faceoff is 7 p.m. at the Cox Convention Center. Tickets start at $10 and are available at all Ticketmaster outlets including the Cox Convention Center box office.
