UNIONDALE, NY - The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, lost 4-2 to the Norfolk Admirals in front of 10,869 fans at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island Wednesday. It was their second game at the home of the Islanders; they beat the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at the Coliseum 3-2 on February 18th.

Norfolk jumped out to an early 1-0 lead at 4:38 of the first period when Pavel Vorobiev scored unassisted for his 16th goal of the season.

Sound Tiger Matt Koalska scored his fourth goal of the season, 8:57 into the first period to tie the game at 1-1. Koalska stole the puck at the Admirals' blue-line, raced in alone and slipped a shot around Norfolk netminder Adam Munro to even the score.

Rob Collins gave the Sound Tigers a 2-1 lead at 2:32 of the second period when he scored his team-leading 21st goal and 53rd point off an assist from Barrett Heisten.

Rene Bourque tied the game and scored the eventual game-winner for Norfolk in the third period. Only 1:04 into the frame, Bourque notched his 29th of the year off assists from Matt Keith and James Wisniewski to tie the score at 2-2. He then put the Admirals ahead to stay less than five minutes later when he scored his second goal of the game and team-leading 30th of the season off assists from Wisniewski and Matt Ellison.

The Sound Tigers pulled goaltender Wade Dubielewicz in favor of an extra attacker with just over a minute left to play and thought they had tied the score with 12.7 seconds remaining but referee Brian Pochmara ruled the puck was kicked into the net.

Ajay Baines added an empty net goal to make it 4-2 Norfolk at the 19:58 mark off assists from Eric Nickulas and Duncan Keith.

Munro stopped 24 of 26 shots for the win while Dubielewicz made 28 saves in a losing effort for the Sound Tigers. The Admirals held a 32-26 shots on goal advantage. Munro was the game's first star, Bourque earned the second and Koalska was the third. The Sound Tigers were 0 for 7 on the power play while the Admirals were 0 for 2.

The Sound Tigers will return to Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard to host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins this Friday at 7:35 p.m. and the Hartford Wolf Pack this Saturday at 7:05 p.m. Both games will be web cast live at www.soundtigers.com.
