MANCHESTER, NH – The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, netted over $65,000 for three area charities during their fourth annual "At Your Service" event, held at C. R. Sparks in Bedford, New Hampshire, on Tuesday night. The money raised from the event will soon be donated to Child Health Services, Manchester Boys & Girls Club and the Monarchs Care Foundation, the charitable arm of the Monarchs.

We're thrilled with the turnout and we're excited for our charitable partners," said Cheryl Abbott, Monarchs Director of Community Relations/Special Events. "Our fans deserve a lot of credit. An event like this would not be possible without their unbelievable support."

"At Your Service" annually turns a normally rugged hockey team into an accomplished wait staff eager to fulfill special requests, such as singing a song, telling a joke, doing impersonations, making surprise phone calls, posing for a photo and dancing...All for charitable tips.

Silent auction items at this year's event included 2005 Dodge AHL All-Star Classic memorabilia and player jerseys. Pottery, gift baskets, and Build-A-Bears, all created by the players with their personal interests in mind, were also auctioned off to the top bidders.

In addition to mingling with their favorite hockey players, the 400 fans attending Tuesday's event were also treated to a first-class dinner and a night of dancing.

The Monarchs "At Your Service" event has raised over a quarter of a million dollars ($233,000) for local charities in just four years.
