Sound Tigers & Boosters Make Donations

BRIDGEPORT, CT â The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, and their Booster Club will present donations to four charitable causes during tonight's game at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard.
Individual donations of $750 will be made to the PT Barnum Pediatric Center, the Burroughs Community Center and Bridgeport's "Hockey in the Hood" program. A donation of $721.50 will also be made to the Jennifer Kemp Memorial Hockey Scholarship Fund.
Funds for the donation to the Jennifer Kemp Memorial Hockey Scholarship Fund were raised through the auction of a jersey former Sound Tiger and Manchester Monarch Derek Bekar wore while on recall to the Islanders last season. Funds for the other three donations came from Booster Club Chuck-A-Pucks that were held during Sound Tigers games this season.

The Sound Tigers will finish the season with a pair of home games this weekend against Manchester tonight at 7:05 p.m. and the Hershey Bears tomorrow at 4:05 p.m. Both games will be broadcast live at www.soundtigers.com.
